As reported by Eurogamer, players received an in-game message in Destiny 2 about raising transgender awareness. All profits from the Pride Pin this month will be donated to Trans Lifeline, a grassroots hotline “offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis.”

Bungie senior community manager dmg04 confirmed the Pride Pin is different from the in-game emblem and more news about it will be revealed in the future. He also posted a link to a Bungie blog post about the creation of Trans at Bungie, an inclusion club “created to connect trans and non-binary individuals, and those who wish to reach out as supportive allies.”

Players can purchase the pin from the U.S. Bungie store for $15. The pin is a multilayer 3D die-cast metal with a Rubber Clutch. Fans who purchase the pin will also receive the exclusive Destiny 2 “True Colors” emblem, which will be sent via email within 24 hours of purchase. The description of the pin gives more insight into Bungie’s goal of raising awareness.

“During the month of November, Bungie is raising awareness and support of the transgender community by honoring the memory of trans and gender-nonconforming people whose lives were lost due to anti-trans hate and violence,” the description reads.

Trans Lifeline is available in the U.S. and Canada, and interested individuals can find more information on the official website.
