David “DAVEY” Stafford and Enkhtaivan “Machinegun” Lkhagva, who have statistically been two of the squad’s top performers, will now have to ply their trade elsewhere.

While Splyce gave no specific reason given for the release of DAVEY, Splyce offered a short statement on why Mongolian superstar Machinegun is no longer with the team.

Machinegun’s addition on July 14 was one of the most unusual roster acquisitions in North American CS:GO history, as no team prior to Splyce had ever looked to import an Asian star player in the past.

Splyce cited a language barrier as the primary reason behind Machinegun’s removal.

Machinegun is an incredibly hard worker and an amazing player, but the language barriers were too great a challenge amidst the other difficulties of building a brand new team. He has the potential to be a top talent in the CS:GO scene with the right home.

Splyce’s is now down to three players. While a longer announcement from Splyce CEO David X later today, it seems things are going to get rough before they get better for the team.
