Early Game: Early Roams and Big Leads

A very surprising level one roam from Huhi down to the bot lane gave CLG an easy first blood. Not long after, a quick Headbutt and Pulverize combo from Aphro gave the bot lane a strong lead. ROX quickly retaliated with a five-man gank bot to kill Aphro. A quick 1.5k gold lead at seven minutes gave CLG a clear advantage. Another roam towards the bot lane from Huhi gave CLG the last kill they needed to secure first turret gold.

Mid Game: Space Dragons > Everything

At this point, Huhi was clearly the playmaker and carry for CLG this game. A 25 CS lead and 7/0 at 17 minutes showed just how strong Huhi is on Aurelion Sol. Strong combos between Aphromoo and Huhi left ROX staring at a gray screen for most of the mid game. Now with a 7k gold lead and complete control of the map, CLG looked to take objectives in towers and dragons. As they slowly pushed ROX into their base, Huhi worked on getting the rest of CLG ahead.

Late Game: The Perfect Storm For CLG

Fight after fight, no matter how many times ROX picked someone before, CLG completely dominated every fight on the back of Huhi. Eventually, ROX started to play desperate for any form of gold. A Baron for CLG gave them easy access to ROX’s base, pushing each individual lane until every lane was destroyed. Not long after, a quadra left ROX’s base wide open for the taking, securing the victory for CLG.

Following this match, CLG and ROX both move to 2-1 in Group A.
