The prayers of the Call of Duty community have been answered—Prop Hunt is returning to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Prop Hunt, a version of the popular hide-and-seek game mode from Garry’s Mod, saw immediate success when it was first added to the MWR multiplayer playlist as a “Weekend Warfare” mode from March 30 to April 3.
When the game mode was removed from the public playlist at the beginning of this month, the community begged and pleaded for it to return. Now, Prop Hunt will once again be a Weekend Warfare game mode, available to play from April 28 to May 1.

If you didn’t get to play the game mode last time it was available, Call of Duty’s version of Prop Hunt consists of two teams competing in four rounds. One team will hide throughout the map as miscellaneous items or props, while the other team has four minutes to find and kill the opposing team.
The players on the prop team get 30 seconds to find a good hiding spot before the other team can begin their hunt. Players on this team can change their prop a maximum of two times, and can hit their opponents with a flashbang if they get too close. The object of the game is survive at any cost.
The props win the round if at least one member on the team survives for four minutes, while the seekers win if they are able to eliminate all of the hiding objects. The game is played until one team wins three rounds, or after both teams play as the hiders and seekers twice.
Raven Software, the developers of Modern Warfare Remastered, even made a few changes to Prop Hunt this weekend, including the addition of prop killcams and experience bonuses for kills and time survived.
Prop Hunt clearly resonated well with the Call of Duty community last time it was added to the weekend playlist, and it will be interesting to see if even more players enjoy the game mode this time around. Make sure to log some hours this weekend on Prop Hunt— the game mode is only available until 1pm ET on May 1.
