All Proving Grounds rank tiers and rewards in NBA 2K25

You can speedrun NBA 2K25 MyCAREER if you rank up in the Proving Grounds.

The City has a lot of variety in terms of game modes, and each one comes with its own format and rewards. The Proving Grounds are a standout on both fronts, with a format that challenges different aspects of your game and rewards that can affect your whole MyCAREER journey.

It’s not as if NBA 2K25 isn’t welcoming to new and inexperienced players. The casual courts go as far as to make higher skilled players ineligible to play on them. The Proving Grounds are the exact opposite and focus on competitive battles to determine who’s truly the best. The game mode uses a tier system to differentiate between the GOATs out there and the rest of the field, and the best part is the better you are on the court, the more you get in return for playing well.

NBA 2K25 Proving Grounds tiers, explained

There are four different game modes in the Proving Grounds. You can play in a one-vs-one duel, a two-vs-two stand-off, the street classic three-vs-three, or a regular five-vs-five. Each mode has its separate ranking system and playing in any of them only affects your ranking in that specific mode. The same applies for tiers; you will have a tier for each individual game mode.

There are six tiers in total: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Top Ranked. The only way to move up a tier is by playing well individually and winning games. Playing poorly and losing frequently can and will de-rank you. The name of the game in the Proving Grounds is consistency. If you can achieve that, you’ll get to enjoy some very special rewards.

All Proving Grounds tier rewards in NBA 2K25

  • Bronze – No rewards
  • Silver – Level displayed on your gamerplate
  • Gold – 10 percent REP boost and 100 VC per win
  • Platinum – 25 percent REP boost and 250 VC per win
  • Diamond – 50 percent REP boost and 500 VC per win
  • Top Ranked – 100 percent REP boost, 500 VC per win, Top Ranked icon, and an animated banner for the top five players at the end of a season

The REP and VC rewards only apply for the specific Proving Grounds game mode you have the respective rank in. If you’re Diamond in one-vs-one, and Bronze in every other mode, you’ll only receive 50 percent more REP and 500 VC per win in one-vs-one Proving Grounds games.

Proving Grounds greatly encourages improvement by quickly ramping up the benefits for players ranked Gold and above. You can then spend your hard-earned VC on the best dunk packages in NBA 2K25.
