There are several types of currency in Space Marine 2, including Mastery Points. While the others can be fairly easy to collect and understand, Mastery Points are harder to get and require a lot of grinding.

We’ve got everything you need to know below.

Mastery Points are earned by maxing out a specific weapon in the Operations mode. You can also earn weapon experience in the PvP mode, Eternal War, but I’ve found Operations to be the quickest way to progress.

There is also the option of Mastering a weapon instantly using Armory Data, earned through Operations and Trials. Using this method saves time and is great to kick-start you on your upgrading journey with a particular weapon, but you may want to save them for other uses.

Each weapon has three upgradable tiers: Master-Crafted, Artificer, and Relic, with the amount of experience required to reach each level increasing. To upgrade to the next tier, you also need the corresponding type of Armory Data.

You can not gather enough Mastery Points to unlock all Perks, however, as the amount available for each weapon is limited. The standard-issue Heavy Bolter, for example, has four Mastery Points to earn, which are spent on upgrades available in separate areas of the Perk tree.
