Ark Survival Ascended – How to get Cementing Paste in Aberration

Copy and paste.

There aren’t many resources in Ark: Survival Ascended that are as important as Cementing Paste, but getting this material on Aberration can be tricky. Fear not, though, as we’ve highlighted the best methods in this guide.

Unlike other maps like The Island and The Center, there are no Casteroides on Aberration in Ark Survival Ascended. Therefore, you can’t go raiding Giant Beaver Dams to obtain a large amount of Cementing Paste, which makes obtaining the material much harder.

Thankfully, there are other approaches to getting a large haul of cementing paste, which we have outlined below.

Early on in Aberration, the best way to get Cementing Paste is to create it in a Mortar and Pestle with four Chitin or Keratin and eight stone. This process is time-consuming and requires a lot of grinding for resources, so the priority is to tame a Beelzebufo as soon as possible.

Beelzebufo are found near the water in the Blue Zone of Aberration and are a relatively common sight. Taming a Beelzebufo requires using the standard knockout procedure, though you should take care as their attacks can tranquillize you. Mutton and Prime Meat are the best food options when taming a Beelzebufo, though you can use normal Meat.

Once tamed, use a Beelzebufo to hunt down insects. There is no shortage of insects in Aberration, and targeting Glowbugs is a great strategy as they are easy to defeat and won’t turn aggressive when attacked.

Alternatively, kill or tame Achatina to acquire Achatina Paste, which you can use instead of Cementing Paste in any crafting recipe. Achatina’s are found in the Blue Zone on Aberration, the same area where Beelzebufo are located, but they’re harder to tame as Sweet Vegetable Cake is required.

For established players on Aberration, a good strategy is to have several tamed Achatina in your base passively providing Achatina Pasta for whenever you need it, then using a Beelzebufo to grab any additional Cementing Paste you need.
