Fortnite, as a free-to-play live service game, often faces issues like this, and it seems the game has hit a roadblock where players are not able to play the game and enjoy the current Marvel-themed season. The season is full of bosses like Emma Frost, who have joined Doctor Doom and his nefarious plans.

According to Epic Games, they are “investigating an issue preventing players from matchmaking properly, returning to the Lobby when trying to get into a game.” This means the developers are currently trying to fix the game.

If you’re looking to enjoy some Fortnite action on the weekend, don’t worry as the servers should be live soon as the developers are working on it. Just grab your favorite snack and your favorite battle royale should be up in no time.

We’ll update the story as the developer provides a hotfix to fix the issue. Meanwhile, you can take a look at Epic Games’ server website and the Fortnite Status X (formerly Twitter) page to stay on top of things. Currently, the matchmaking section has a “Degraded Performance” label, and it should change back to “Operational” once things are back to normal.
