Best Reduvia Dagger build in Elden Ring

A classic way to bleed your enemies out.

With several new weapons added in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, many more avenues to play have opened up. As strong as the new introductions are, sometimes it’s best to stick with the basics and improve upon them. This build revolves around the Reduvia Dagger and its strengths.

The Reduvia is a Dagger weapon introduced in Elden Ring. While not as flashy as some of the newer bleed weapons introduced in Shadow of the Erdtree, the Reduvia is still as effective, especially in combination with certain talismans. This weapon scales primarily with Arcane with a secondary scaling in Strength and Dexterity.

As such, this build will be an Arcane build specializing in inflicting as much blood loss as possible with the Reduvia’s inherent hemorrhage potential. If your current build is not an Arcane build, it would be best to respec your character before getting started.

Stat distribution

Because of Reduvia’s B-tier scaling with Arcane, your first priority will be getting the stat up to 50. Next, focus on survivability by getting Vigor up to 40 and Endurance up to 20. You won’t need too much Endurance because the Reduvia is light. Invest some points into Dexterity for scaling purposes and then move back into Arcane until it hits the 80 soft cap.

This is what your endgame stats should look like:

  • Vigor: 50
  • Mind: 15
  • Endurance: 25
  • Strength: Base level
  • Dexterity: 30
  • Intelligence: Base level
  • Faith: Base level
  • Arcane: 80

You should hit these levels by around Rune Level 180. Any additional points past this level can be invested into Vigor for more survivability. If you feel tanky enough, you can continue investing points into Arcane until you reach the hard cap.

Crystal Tear concoction

The Bloodsucking Cracked Tear is the best Crystal Tear to have against strong enemies like bosses. This Tear increases your damage output by 20 percent, which is then further enhanced by the talismans included in this build. However, this Tear also drains your health every second, so make sure you keep your healing flasks ready.

The other component for this mix is the Thorny Cracked Tear, a Crystal Tear that increases the damage of your successive attacks. This effect stacks with the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia talisman, which is also a part of this build, directly buffing your Reduvia Blood Blade swings. This effect also extends to combo attacks made using your weapons.

Gear breakdown

This build uses two Reduvia Daggers to inflict as much blood loss as possible. This is done through a combination of Reduvia Blood Blade attacks as well as a mix of light and heavy attacks using both daggers. Reduvia Blood Blade fires off ranged slashes that cause rapid blood loss build-up, which will proc quite frequently with your high Arcane stat.

However, getting a second Reduvia will require you to defeat Bloody Finger Nerijus once again, which means you can only complete this build in New Game Plus. Until then, you can use a replacement dagger to complete this build. Good options to choose from are the Wakizashi, the Bloodstained Dagger, and the Great Knife.

There are several armor choices for this build. Every armor piece is optional with the exception of the White Mask, a helm item that increases your attack power after you proc blood loss. This effect stacks fully with the Lord of Blood’s Exultation, multiplying its power even further.

Talisman breakdown

Four talismans work perfectly for this build:

  • The Two-headed Turtle Talisman is a new DLC talisman that greatly improves your stamina regeneration. Since you will be attacking constantly with normal attacks and Reduvia Blood Blade swings, having faster stamina regeneration will let you get out of danger more easily.
  • The Lord of Blood’s Exultation is the best talisman for any bleed build. Your attack damage increases by 20 percent every time you proc blood loss in the vicinity. This effect refreshes every time you proc blood loss again and stacks fully with the White Mask.
  • The Rotten Winged Sword Insignia is the talisman you need for any build with quick attacks. Consecutive attacks will increase your attack damage, so ensure that you’re constantly swinging those daggers to maintain this buff.
  • The Shard of Alexander greatly increases the damage of your weapon skill. This talisman improves the damage of your Reduvia Blood Blade, dealing more damage with every cast.
