A new home has been found for North American Counter-Strike talent, both new and old, as Rogue signs a new set of players for the sixth season of the ESL Pro League.
Rogue’s newest roster includes Spencer “Hiko” Martin, Daniel “vice” Kim, Collin “wrath” McSweegan, and Josh “shinobi” Abastado, who will be the team’s in-game leader. They are also joined by Garrett “Grt” Bambrough, a formerly retired coach of CLG. Hiko, shinobi, vice, and wrath will unite with Casper “cadiaN” Møller, a Danish AWPer whose team left him on Rogue one by one.
Since his stint with OpTic Gaming in the earlier months of 2017, Hiko has taken a slight hiatus from the top of CS:GO competition. OpTic underperformed with Hiko at IEM Katowice and DreamHack Las Vegas under trial, and he was released as a result.
Shinobi, vice, and wrath, on the other hand, managed to qualify for the sixth season of the ESL Pro League through relegation with Enigma6 and their former teammates Armeen “a2z” Toussi and Shawn “Witmer” Taylor.
“Hiko and Grt are legends in the North American scene and their experience and veteran presence will help develop the incredible talent this team possesses into future stars,” Shinobi said. “This is the strongest lineup I have ever been a part of and I am excited to tackle new challenges and help lead them to the top echelon of the CS scene.”
This fresh new roster will have some time to prepare for the upcoming sixth installment of the ESL Pro League, although the league’s schedule has yet to be announced.
