Sheriff Quint is a character you meet in the main story in Star Wars Outlaws, but there is a deeper history than what you initially see—though you need to master your sleuthing skills to unlock all the juicy details.

Of all the experts in Outlaws, the gunslinger is perhaps the most crucial, as the unlockable abilities make Kay much more effective in combat. We’ve compiled all the steps you need to follow here.

The search begins at Chalmun’s Cantina in Mos Eisley on Tattooine. Speak to the bartender to receive the Old Timer Intel, directing you to a lady standing near the band inside the Cantina. Talk to her to continue the questline.

Leave Mos Eisley and travel into the Great Chott Salt Flat to follow the intel for The Old Gunslinger. The easiest approach is to track the location from your map, which adds a marker to the navigator shown at the top of the screen.

Head to the location, which is deep inside Hutt territory. If you have a good reputation with the Cartel, you can navigate the area without issues. But, if you have a bad reputation, it’s a lot more difficult.

Either way, the specific location containing the datapad is in a restricted area. Wait until the NPCs outside the room look in the other direction, then sneak in. Quickly shut the door behind you and take out the two NPCs inside as quietly as possible. The datapad is shown in the image above, and with the room empty, feel free to steal anything you’d like—but don’t hang around for too long, as other NPCs enter the area periodically.

Your next stop is Wayfarer, a small area you’ve visited already in the main story. To make things quicker, use the fast travel point if you haven’t been dragged into combat with the Hutt cartel. Head to Sheriff Quint’s office, located directly opposite the landing pad.

After the cutscene, meet Quint outside in the training zone and shoot the bottles as instructed, then watch another cutscene. The Hutts attack, leaving you to help out Quint. From here, it’s a simple case of defeating each wave of enemies.

A final cutscene is followed by five more enemies approaching, all of which Kay can now target with her enhanced adrenaline ability. Mark all the enemies and pull the trigger to complete the mission, unlocking new abilities in the process.
