The 2017 Call of Duty World League Championship will be held in Orlando

Activision is switching it up and bringing CoD Champs to the East Coast.

The dates and location of the biggest Call of Duty event of the year have finally been revealed. The 2017 Call of Duty World League Championship will be held in the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida from Aug. 9 to 13, Activision confirmed earlier today.

As the most important event of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare season, only the top 32 teams in the world will get to compete for their share of the $1.5 million prize pool.

Teams have already started to qualify for the 2017 Call of Duty World League Championship through the CWL Global Pro League. The CWL GPL hosts four groups of four teams, and the top three teams in each group automatically qualify for the biggest event of the year.

EnVyUs looked strong, topping the Red Group last week. But will their form hold until August?

Team EnVyUs, Splyce, Mindfreak, FaZe Clan, Evil Geniuses, and Rise Nation have secured their spots in the Championship, and over the next two weeks, six more teams will qualify.

This will be the first time that the Call of Duty Championship is held on the East Coast—every other CoD Champs event since 2011 has been held in California.

The Amway Center can seat up to 20,000 fans and is the home of the NBA’s Orlando Magic—the arena even held the NBA All-Star game back in 2012. The confirmation of the Amway Center for the 2017 Call of Duty Championship continues the trend set by last year’s venue, which was The Forum in Inglewood, California—the former home of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Spectator tickets for the event are expected to go on sale soon—and you better buy them quick, because last year’s event was a full house.
