CYGNI—even on Easy Mode—isn’t for the weak-hearted. It’s fast and flashy, and sometimes, not even razor-sharp senses can help you. The game offers several difficulty levels to choose from alongside an Arcade Mode to conquer.

If you’re unsure of how to unlock Arcade Mode or how it differs from the main game, check out all the details below.

You unlock Arcade Mode in CYGNI: All Guns Blazing by completing all of the game’s missions on any difficulty level.

After completing CYGNI on Easy Mode and rolling the credits, I learned soon after Arcade Mode was available to play. It doesn’t erase your current save file, and you can dip into it freely as a one-off journey.

CYGNI: All Guns Blazings‘ Arcade Mode is a one-life playthrough of all seven missions in a row, and you are limited in the weapons and upgrades you can use in the attempt.

I think the default difficulty for Arcade Mode is Medium. Death means instant failure, which means it’s not on Easy Mode because you don’t have three lives, but it doesn’t feel as brutal as Hard difficulty.

Yes, you might be able to complete each mission on Hard, making the task of finishing missions on Medium easier, but doing every mission one after another without a proper break in between is a big ask.

Arcade Mode’s Designer screen also gives you nine slots to use. This means you can’t pick every ability and use it to your advantage. You need to play to your strengths and build a loadout tailored to your play style to give you the best chances of success.
