As an open-world game, you get to experience Medieval Europe as Henry, who makes his way from being a humble blacksmith’s son to the royals. He lost his parents after Sigismund’s forces raided his home village of Skalitz, but he didn’t lose hope and joined the resistance. Now, Henry faces key decisions and dangerous foes looking to draw their enemies’ blood.
The game’s prequel was released in 2018, and it was praised for its historical accuracy. Many of the game’s previous minigames, like alchemy and picking locks, have been polished in the upcoming title. It should serve gamers who are looking to use their swords against other enemy soldiers and taste the feeling of revenge in a time setting.
If you’re looking to explore Medieval Europe while riding a horse, then Kingdom Come: Deliverance II should be right up your alley. As revealed by the developer in a gameplay showcase, the open world is beautiful and it takes you back in time. The developer showcased a quest where you’re looking for a specific person, which makes you search through a smelly shithouse. After that, you can valuable items and make morally relevant decisions as to whether to be a good soldier and return the precious item to the person or just fight them and keep it for yourself.
The developer has spent their time keeping the authenticity of the title by making the graphics feel realistic and the NPCs around you react to your behavior, looks, and even smell. So, if you’re coming out from a shithouse, chances are the NPCs around you are going to make fun of you. Each of these NPCs also has a proper life cycle where they wake up, go on about their work, and make their way to their house or grab some beers in the tavern to end their day. This also adds a layer of realism to the title.
The game features multiple weapons which allows you to adopt different playstyles and play Henry to your liking. After the game’s release, its roadmap also states that you’re going to get even more quests and stories through expansion which adds multiple exciting features like Horse racing and even Hardcore mode, which should provide a tough experience for players who’re looking to turn up the realism.
