The Fusion Cutter in Star Wars Outlaws is one of the tools available to Kay Vess to help her explore, alongside the Data Spike for lockpicking and the Slicing Kit to hack into terminals. However, the Fusion Cutter is something you have to wait longer for.

Read on to find out exactly where you get the Fusion Cutter in Star Wars Outlaws.

The Fusion Cutter in Star Wars Outlaws, or the Fusioncutter, as it is called in-game, is unlocked through main story progression. Unlike the Data Spike and Slicing Kit, this tool for Kay Vess is saved until very late in the story.

Kay Vess is given the Fusioncutter during the Legacy quest—the penultimate main story mission in Star Wars Outlaws. As the unlock occurs so late, don’t expect to earn the Fusioncutter until over 15 hours deep into the story.

Fortunately, the Fusioncutter is not a tool you can miss during your playthrough and it’s simply a matter of time. It does, however, mean that any treasures behind gates that you need a Fusioncutter to access will have to wait for a while.

In the meantime, there are plenty of other things to do in Star Wars Outlaws, like finding the Smoke Bomb Compressor and locating experts like Lando Calrissian.
