‘Hybrid fruit similar to an “aprium”‘ NYT Crossword clue difficulty, rated
I won’t lie; when I read this clue, I had no idea what it could be. It wasn’t until I solved the rest of the puzzle that I learned what a pluot was, and even then, I was a little skeptical because it sounded like a fake name for a made-up fruit. But it’s apparently a real fruit. And if you were like me and had no clue it was real, this would have been a tough clue to solve, which is why I give it a difficulty rating of five out of five.
