How to cure Poison in Black Myth Wukong

Removing Poison can be troublesome.

Poison is one of the many status effects in Black Myth: Wukong, particularly in combat. For many, Poison can become an overwhelming effect as it’s difficult to manage and even more challenging to remove and cure. You don’t want to have it too long or it could end you.

There aren’t many methods to remove Poison in Black Myth: Wukong. Your options are limited and how you go about removing it is not too clear. You can encounter it relatively early as you fight many starting enemies in the first chapter, especially the ones eager to overwhelm you with their attacks.

There’s only one way to cure Poison in Black Myth: Wukong and that’s by consuming the Antimiasma Powder. You can pick up this consumable by visiting any of the Shrines you’ve unlocked during your journey and purchasing it from the Store. It does cost Will, but you can buy a limited amount from the Store. When they run out, you need to be careful while exploring locations where the enemies can use Poison against you, similar to the Burn status effect.

You’ll know when you’re hit by the Poison status effect when the symbol appears on the right side of your screen. By default, the symbol is a green effect, but this might vary based on how you alter your preferences or other settings. You can also spot it by the green aura around your character, and your health steadily decreases when you’re not hit during combat. When you reach this point, taking the Antimiasma Powder is the only way to remove the Poison status effect.

Taking the Antimiasma Powder is similar to drinking the Gourd. It means you want to be in a safe spot to protect yourself, or you could take a few hits from enemies while your guard is down.

The other way to avoid the Poison status effect in Black Myth: Wukong is to avoid taking damage from enemies using these attacks. You can quickly eliminate them from battle or avoid their attacks and wait for the Poison meter to drop to zero. Watching the meter is critical to ensure the Poison status effect does not take effect and begins to degrade your health. After the Poison meter reaches full, the only way to remove it is by using the Antimiasma Powder.
