You’re going to encounter several status effects while playing Black Myth: Wukong. These effects can build up over time when fighting a particular enemy, such as the Burn effect if you battle an enemy with a flaming weapon.
Burn is a status effect that enemies can use against you if they hit you with a weapon that deals this damage. When this occurs, a small, glowing symbol appears on your screen, with a meter gradually growing more prominent. When the meter is full, you catch on fire, and you’ll receive damage over time from the attack, eating away at your health until the flames go away. Here’s what you need to know about how to cure Burn in Black Myth: Wukong.
How to get rid of Burning in Black Myth Wukong
There are two ways to cure Burn in Black Myth: Wukong. The first is to avoid being hit by an enemy’s attack that deals this effect. When you first see the meter appear on the screen, prevent any attacks from these enemies or quickly eliminate them. After you’ve done this, wait for the meter to reach zero, and you won’t be in danger of catching on fire. Thankfully for gamers, you don’t deal with this effect while battling the Wandering Wight.
Avoiding these attacks is the best way to stop this effect. But if you’re fighting a formidable foe who is consistently using attacks that burn you, the next best thing for you to do is to drink the Body-Cooling Powder. This is a consumable item you can purchase from a Shrine at the Store. It does cost Will, which means the item won’t be available if you don’t have enough on you. There are a limited number of them in the Store, too. Alternatively, there’s always a chance you might be able to loot it while exploring Black Myth: Wukong.
If you can’t avoid catching on fire in Black Myth: Wukong, the next best thing to do to remove the Burning effect is to begin rolling. You’ll need to roll several times before the flames subside, removing the damage over time from your health. Not addressing these flames is a dangerous choice as the attack can gradually destroy your health, making you an easy target for enemies. In addition, if you have low health and catch on fire, the effect can kill you, forcing you to return to the nearest Shrine and try again.
