Security Breach 2?

Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s, is teasing a new game announcement with Steel Wool Studios, with an announcement expected on Aug. 6.

Cawthon has been revealing a new project every day since Aug. 1 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Five Nights at Freddy’s. With only a few more announcements remaining, FNAF fans are glued to the screen, waiting to see what Steel Wool has in store.

When is the Five Nights at Freddy’s Steel Wool announcement?

The FNAF Steel Wool announcement is taking place on Aug. 6, and currently, there is no set time for the announcement nor any details on what the team plans to show off.

Like Aug. 5’s collab announcement, which turned out to be FNAF teaming up with Dead by Daylight in Summer 2025, the Steel Wool announcement could drop at any time.

If we were to make an educated guess based on the past few days of reveals and news, we expect the announcement to drop anytime between 10am CT and 3pm CT, which at least narrows down the timeframe.

As for what we expect to appear, Steel Wool Studios works on the mainline and VR FNAF games, so we expect it to be a tease for a new game in the series, maybe a sequel to the cliffhanger ending of Security: Breach’s Ruin DLC, or another game entirely.

It feels like this reveal is the biggest of them all. So, for now, we need to wait to see if our predictions are correct.
