‘Drip or drown’: This Elden Ring invader is turning the Lands Between into a fashion show

Will your outfit pass the test?

When it comes to choosing armor in Elden Ring, the only stat that matters is fashion. Defenses are negligible enough that you can get away with wearing whatever looks good, so a keen-eyed invader is taking it upon themselves to judge the attire of garmented Tarnished roaming the Lands Between.

In a video posted to r/EldenRing on Aug. 5, a player Redditors are calling the Drip Inspector warns the community: “If you ever see me invading, you better not be slacking with your Drip.”

The video shows Elden Ring‘s Drip Inspector invading three Tarnished in the Mountaintops of the Giants, with one dressed in the Cleanrot set, one in the Tree Sentinel set, and one in the Veteran’s set with the Mushroom Crown on his head. Using the Telescope, the Drip Inspector looks each of the Tarnished up and down, then carefully contemplates their outfits with the “Nod In Thought” gesture.

The Drip Inspector’s conclusion: The Tarnished wearing the Mushroom Crown is so not Balenciaga. The Inspector gives him a zero using the DLC’s Ring of Miquella gesture, then turns to the other two and says, “You’re Beautiful,” using the Prattling Pate item.

Hilariously, the Drip Inspector kicks the mushroom-wearing Tarnished off the platform, who then proceeds to curl up on the ground in shame. “Sent dude into a state of depression,” reads the top comment on Reddit. Well, he should’ve thought of that before going out in public dressed like an armored morel.

“Lol the drip inspector invaded one of my games where I was wearing some awful get up for poison resistance or some shit. He cried,” one comment reads, while another says “Drip or drown.” I’ve yet to encounter the Drip Inspector myself, but it sounds like I need to put a lot more thought into my outfits lest I be caught lacking.
