How to get Primal Infusion in WoW Dragonflight

Prepare for the raid.

With the release of Dragonflight on Nov. 28, the World of Warcraft community has received the new and improved version of professions that plays a big role in the gearing process. The main reason why professions will become impactful during Dragonflight is the Optional Reagents, namely Embellishments and secondary stats customizations you can use to tweak your gear as you’re crafting it.

Optional Reagents are rare items gathered from doing activities across the Dragon Isles that can be added during the crafting or recrafting process to modify weapons and gear, giving them a higher item level, different stats, or bonus abilities. Most Optional Reagents are soulbound and cannot be purchased from other players.

One of the Optional Reagents everyone wants is Primal Infusion. Used to upgrade Epic quality crafted items, Primal Infusion is extremely rare in Dragonflight. Here’s a quick guide on what is Primal Infusion and how you can get it.

What is Primal Infusion in WoW Dragonflight?

Primal Infusion in Dragonflight is an Optional Reagent that is used to upgrade your Epic quality crafted items. Normally, crafted gear starts with item level 382, but with Primal Infusion, it can scale up to level 405.

Primal Infusion can also come in the form of Concentrated Primal Infusion which can be used to upgrade your gear from 405 item level to 418.

How to get Primal Infusion WoW Dragonflight

Primal Infusion can come from a couple of sources in Dragonflight—quests, raids, Mythic+ dungeons, and maxing out your Renown with the main factions of the Dragon Isles.

Once you complete the main questline and get the quest to defeat Raszageth on Normal difficulty, Alexstrasza will give you one Primal Infusion. Aside from that, you can get Primal Infusion from maxing out your Renown with factions of the Dragon Isles.

If you need more Primal Infusion than that, you can also earn it by defeating Heroic raid bosses and completing Mythic+ dungeons from level 11 to level 16 and defeating Heroic raid bosses. Bear in mind that completing PvE content will award you Primal Focus, and then you can combine 10 Primal Focus with 100 Primal Chaos and you’ll get one Primal Infusion.

On top of all of this, Primal Chaos can be found, if you’re lucky enough, in treasure chests and PvP boxes.
