New Twitch feature lets VALORANT players predict VCT moments live—and earn bragging rights

In a move to boost viewer interactivity, Riot Games has introduced Shotcall, a new VALORANT esports feature aimed at fans looking to “flex their VCT knowledge” and show off their guessing skills.

If you’ve ever surprised your friends by calling clutches, MVPs, or match outcomes before they happened—or if you’ve simply been a loyal follower of the long-running VCT scene—Shotcall is your chance to flaunt that instinct. With the feature enabled, you can predict the moves of your favorite VALORANT teams and earn points toward a live leaderboard.

Think of it as a fast-paced mini-game running alongside the VCT match you’re watching on Twitch. But don’t expect bland yes/no questions or predictable picks: Shotcall is built for real-time thrills. From calling who takes first blood to predicting clutch wins under pressure, it throws intricately timed scenarios your way and rewards viewers with the sharpest guessing skills.

Shotcall is still in development, so expect a few bugs when testing it during the upcoming beta sessions. Riot plans to roll it out initially on the official VCT Americas Twitch channels, with support for more leagues and languages coming later.

If you want to be among the first ones to taste the Shotcall experience, here’s the beta test schedule:

For now, Shotcall will be available only on Fridays during these beta sessions. Riot is likely using this limited rollout to gather feedback before expanding the feature across VCT matches throughout the week, starting with Americas and eventually reaching other regions.

To access Shotcall when the beta goes live, just tune in to any of the three official VCT Americas Twitch channels on a beta day. Look for the red crystal ball icon in the top-left corner of the stream to open the overlay, then sign in using your Riot account. A limit to keep in mind: you can’t use Shotcall on a phone. It’s a desktop-only extension that can be accessed via Twitch only—at least for now.

As for rewards, Riot has confirmed there will be one prize available across the four beta test days, but it also teased “more exciting offerings” in the future. So, if you really know your VCT, it might pay off to jump in early and start flexing your skills.
