VALORANT players Alhan “Jakexd” Meguenni and Mario “PoPiFresH” Gonzálezhas have joined Heretics while Jesper “TENZKI” Mikalski has been moved to the inactive roster, the organization announced today.

Jakexd recently played with free agent team “genetics” prior to the move. He competed in the VALORANT Regional League France: Revolution but failed to qualify for the main season after his team lost in the quarterfinals of the open bracket on Jan. 29.

PoPiFresH competed with Case Esports during the VCT Europe Stage One: Challengers One but was defeated by BIG in the round of 16 on Jan. 12.

Jakexd, who typically plays the sentinel or controller role, will likely replace TENZKI to play the same agents on Heretics. Former Counter-Strike player TENZKI was reported to be benched by the Spanish organization on Feb. 2. PoPiFresH is a duelist player and could share the responsibility with Daniel Mertz.

Heretics is set to compete in the VRL Spain: Rising, with the main season set to begin on Feb. 15. European organizations such as Movistar Riders and Team Queso will also compete in the regional league.

The season will conclude on March 2 with the playoffs, which will grant the winning team qualification for the VCT Promotion Tournament. This online event will serve as the last chance for a team looking to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour.

Jakexd and PoPiFresH will join Jose-Antonio “Bromas” Ramos Gonzalez, Mertz, and Christian “lowel” Garcia Antoran in Heretics’ VALORANT lineup.
