IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat dominate The Streamer Awards 2025

Coming into the 2025 Streamer Awards, Kai Cenat was once again the clear favorite with five nominations, but this time around, he did not win the most important one of them all. IShowSpeed finally claimed Streamer of the Year, stopping Kai’s two-year streak.

The fifth Streamer Awards took place on Dec. 6 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, hosted once again by QTCinderella and Maya Higa, with performances from Good Kid, Ironmouse & MarcoMeatball, and Ty Dolla $ign.

The narrative going in was simple: Kai Cenat had the most nominations and the clear momentum to sweep them all. It’s exactly the hype you’d expect for a streamer who hit 20 million followers on Twitch and had multiple notable celebrity collabs.

His wins include:

• Best Just Chatting Streamer
• Best Marathon Stream for Mafiathon 3
• Best Streamed Event for Streamer University
• Best Streamed Collab alongside LeBron James

But the Streamer of the Year award went IShowSpeed’s way, probably largely thanks to his Speed Does America marathon that won him the Best IRL Streamer award as well.

CaseOh_ took Gamer of the Year, Maya deservedly got the League of Their Own award, and Doublelift got lifetime recognition with the Legacy Award.

Red Bull walked away with Best Brand Partner, further cementing how aggressively big sponsors now treat the Streamer Awards as a serious industry show.

Despite the nominations controversy and usual technical difficulties, The Streamer Awards 2025 this year were a definite success.
