Tencent, China's biggest game publisher, now has exclusive rights to publish H1Z1 in China, Daybreak Games announced.

The official name for the game in China will be King of Survival, and more details about the live operations of the game in the region will be announced in 2018.

This is a huge get for Tencent, as the publisher already secured the rights to publish PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in the country as well. With both PUBG and H1Z1 under its control, Tencent has something of a monopoly on the battle royale genre for now.

Battle royale games are huge in China, as the majority of PUBG's playerbase comes from the region, and H1Z1 is hugely popular there, too. Now, Tencent controls both of them.

Not content with just keeping the BR genre on PC, Tencent is also working on publishing two separate mobile versions of PUBG for China.
