Square Enix is showing some love for its long-running Star Ocean RPG series with the announcement of Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster.
The upcoming release is slated for launch on PlayStation 4 and PC as a digital-only option on Nov. 28 this year in Japan. While there’s no word yet on a Western release of the game, it’s very likely we’ll probably see it coming through since the original was translated into English on PlayStation 3.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster will feature 4K resolution (of course), as well as a complete HD remaster of the original game, including trophy and share button support, as well as the ability to change up shadow and blur settings.
As far as the PC version goes, you can change the screen resolution, earn Steam Achievements, and use mouse and keyboard as well as a controller. There’s even support for you to take your own screenshots outside of the in-game user interface.
The short announcement trailer shows off a bit of what’s to come, just in case you’re a massive Star Ocean fan. It’s good to see some attention being paid to the sprawling RPG. If you haven’t tried it out yet, you might want to wait until this version releases instead.
