Journey developer thatgamecompany is breaking into the Apple gaming world with a new title. Sky is headed to iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV soon.

Demoed during Apple's iPhone 8 event earlier today, Sky is a "social" adventure and exploration game. Players fly across the world using earthly clouds and the wind to visit various floating islands above the clouds. Sky's controls are minimized for casual play, with the game playable using only one finger on a remote or smartphone. The game is designed for both hardcore players to enjoy, as well as casual users who may not regularly play video games.

Up to eight players across the world can play together, working as a team to explore secret areas, solving puzzles, and summoning magical creatures. Players collect light across the game world, with a focus on connecting players with each other through giving to one another. Sky also has 4K support on Apple TV, with rather nice graphics on the device as well.

No release date has been announced yet for Sky, although the game's reveal trailer teases that the title is "coming soon." As of yet, the game remains an Apple exclusive.

Update Sept. 12 2:54pm ET: Thatgamecompany has since announced that Sky will be a "multi-platform game" that is "first coming" to iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.

There's noword yet on other platforms Sky will release to, or whether the game will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or PC.
