If the GDQ staff answer Sean Chiplock's call, it wouldn't be the first time that someone affiliated with a game has joined in on a speedrun at AGDQ. Some of the developers of beloved games such as Spelunky and Battleblock Theatre have joined in from across the globe on Skype calls in the past.

Legendary video game composer Grant Kirkhope, who has worked on the soundtrack for a bunch of games like Banjo-Kazooie and Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle, famously joined in during AGDQ 2015's Banjo-Kazooie speedrun.
