A long-awaited and highly sought after feature will be making its way to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds very soon, the game's developer confirmed.

First-person only servers will be hitting PUBG in its next monthly update, which should be available some time in the next two weeks, before the month of July ends.

Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene announced the news on Twitter himself, immediately getting the community very excited. Fans have been clamoring for first person-only servers, as playing the game in third person allows players to hide behind cover and peek.

Restricting the game to first-person allows for a more hardcore experience, as players will have to play more aggressive and peek in the open if they want to visualize a target.

Greene also said that the update will bring first person-only to NA and EU Solo and Duo games first, and then expand to other regions once the system has been polished.

Greene promised that the team at Bluehole Studio was hard at work on improving first-person features, and fans are hoping to see things like an FOV slider implemented to better suit the first person-only gameplay.

This is just one of many planned content updates for PUBG, including a new desert map, weekly updates for bug fixes and optimizations, and larger scale content-based updates every month.
