Keyboard and mouse support is something Xbox One players have been interested in for some time, and it seems as though Microsoft Poland could have just let the cat out of the bag.
The feature, while somewhat controversial for some Xbox One users, may be coming to the system soon if a listing from Microsoft Poland that has since been deleted is to be believed. A Google-translated version via Gamerpros of the post one eagle-eyed Xbox One fans found reads a little something like this:
“Some players prefer to conquer the virtual world with a pad in hand. Others, above all, value the precision of the mouse movements. Others, however, can not imagine playing on anything other than a keyboard. Now, owners of Xbox One consoles (including Xbox One S models and the latest Xbox One X) can choose these accessories and decide for themselves what they will use. “PC Master Race”? Thanks to the keyboard support, we can already successfully talk about ‘Xbox Master Race’.”
It’s possible this is just some sort of early announcement that went out before someone could stop it, and now many more eager Xbox One fans have seen it as it spreads across the internet like wildfire. There’s no real information here, however, on how the keyboard and mouse will work with games or if it will be compatible with all games. We’ll likely be seeing additional info coming down the pipeline from Microsoft proper soon, but unfortunately there’s nothing floating out in the announcement ether just yet.
When Microsoft does decide to drop the bomb with keyboard and mouse support, we’ll certainly know.
