As another chance for fans to watch top-flight international competition, the Mid-Season Invitational was a rousing success. The finals featured a heated five-game set between SK Telecom T1 and Edward Gaming, with the Chinese team managing to pull it out and extend Korea’s dry spell at major international events. Following Team SoloMid’s win at the IEM World Championship, it looks as if Korea’s stranglehold at the top of the League of Legends professional scene is in danger of being broken.
We also tackle Fnatic’s latest Counter-Strike title victory. And in Call of Duty, Optic Gaming returns to winning ways after dropping Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag from its active roster. Meanwhile, a pair of Chinese Dota 2 powers struggling against their Western rivals.
