Here's the first in-game look at Jurassic World Evolution
Get ready to "build your own Jurassic World" in Jurassic World Evolution with a first look at in-game footage.
In development by Frontier, the makers of Planet Coaster and Elite Dangerous, Jurassic World Evolution puts you in control of building your own dinosaur theme park. The video doesn't show any actual gameplay, but the footage of the dinosaurs is in-engine and in-game.
While there's not much to go on in the video itself, it looks pretty great visually, as the dinosaurs have the same designs and aesthetic as the creatures from the Jurassic movies.
During a panel at Frontier Expo, the developers revealed some information about the gameplay, however. For example, building your park will follow three development paths. Entertainment is about your visitors' enjoyment levels, Security is linked to creating dangerous dinos while also keeping your visitors safe from them, and Science is about studying the animals and how they live.
As is usually the case, though, things will eventually go wrong. The developers described a situation where there was a tropical storm that damages the park's infrastructure and has the dinosaurs in an uproar.
Jurassic World Evolution looks and sounds pretty cool, but we'll have to wait until summer 2018 to try it out for ourselves.
