In a few simple steps, you too can achieve a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild screenshot so spooky that the whole gaming world will take notice.

This screenshot was delivered by Reddit user Fey_fox. Understandably, the world was in awe. How could such an effect be created? Who would dare to bear such frightening visuals in the name of taking a great photo? And how could we all follow suit?

The answer begins with a warning: Recreating this scene won’t be easy. It won’t be free, either. But with some hard work, some downloadable content, and a dash of dedication, you too can create frightening photographs that seem more suited to a horror game than Zelda. Here’s how.

First, you’ll need Majora’s Mask, first seen as the titular headgear in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. The mask can only be found after purchasing The Master Trials DLC, so bear that in mind before beginning your hunt.

The mask is buried in the Garrison Ruins in central Hyrule. Practically, it makes Link a bit more difficult for enemies to spot out. But our main concern is that it makes him look much more intimidating with its giant glowing eyes.

Next, you’ll need to assemble Link’s skeleton outfit. Pieces of the outfit can be purchased from a particular vendor in Gerudo Town after gaining access to the appropriately titled Secret Club, which just requires finding the right door and then doing some eavesdropping to pick up the password. Simple enough.

With Link’s outfit completed, you’ll need to find a really dark location. Consider the dungeon of Divine Beast Vah Rudania, which is almost completely bereft of light.

Lastly, you’ll need to make sure that this all coincides with the arrival of a blood moon. This is always a risky proposition, given the strength applied to Ganon’s monstrous forces under the bright red moon. The moon causes enemies to respawn and have their health refilled, a particular concern if you’re about to go trudging about a dungeon.

But if you can survive the effects of the blood moon and assemble the necessary pieces required to pull off this particular brand of visual flair, congratulations. You’re all set to take an especially scary screenshot. It’s a good thing then that Breath of the Wild includes an in-game camera perfect for selfies.
