The MIDA Multi-Tool is back in Destiny 2, and here's how to get it
One of Destiny's best Exotic scout rifles, the MIDA Multi-Tool, is back in Destiny 2, and it's just as good as it ever was.
Boasting a boost to movement speed as well as the ability to maintain your radar while aiming down the sights, the MIDA is a powerful weapon in PvP and just as good in PvE.
Here's how to reunite with the MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2.
Intrinsic Perk - MIDA Multi-Tool: This weapon boosts movement speed.
Corkscrew Rifling: Balanced barrel. Slightly increases range and stability; Slightly increases handling speed.
High Caliber Rounds: Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther; Slightly increases range.
MIDA Radar: Radar stays active while aiming down sights.
Hand-Laid Stock: This weapon is optimized for recoil control; Increases stability.
MIDA Multi-Tool Quest
Once you've finished the campaign and are level 20, head back to the European Dead Zone and speak to Devrim Kay. He will give you a quest called "Enhance!" Finish that quest and he will reward you with a Legendary submachine gun, the MIDA Mini-Tool.
From here on out, the quest is fairly straightforward and simple. Banshee-44, the Gunsmith, will want to see you. Visit him and he will task you with getting 50 Precision kills and 25 kills without reloading, all with Scout Rifles. Choose whichever Scout you like and get to work.
Talk to Banshee-44 again, and it's time to dismantle five Rare or Legendary Scout Rifles. This is the most time-consuming part of the quest, as it will depend on getting lucky or just somehow having five of these Scout Rifles in your inventory.
Once that's done, your job is to get 50 kills in mid-air with a submachine gun. It might sound daunting, but the task itself is quite easy. Just pick a good SMG—the MIDA Mini-Tool works just fine—and farm low-level mobs like Fallen Dregs or Hive Thralls. Get up close and personal and spray them down while in mid-air, and you should be done in no time.
That's it. Head back to Banshee-44 and the MIDA Multi-Tool is yours. Have fun, Guardian.
