Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator hides a sinister secret
Just when you thought the world was getting a break from Five Nights at Freddy’s, it rears its creepy head once more to reveal something more sinister. As it turns out, the free game that just debuted on Steam is a lot more than it appears to be.
After teasing the game on his official site, Scott Cawthon dropped the game with little fanfare, touting it as a simplistic arcade title where Freddy Fazbear throws pizzas at a group of kids dancing around the screen. You can design your very own pizza before throwing them at the legions of waiting children, and it’s all very friendly and cute.
That is, until it takes a turn for the weird. This Five Nights at Freddy’s entry is a lot more than just a cutesy arcade game. It’s a pizzeria building tycoon where you’ve got to keep safe while performing tasks as the manager of this particular location. The key is to survive the day, but there’s a lot more to it than you might be used to from the rest of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. It can be likened more to an “evil” restaurant tycoon game than anything else, with all the Five Nights at Freddy’s twists you might expect from such.
Again, Scott Cawthon has trolled his fans and audiences with a game that’s not what it seems, with that classic Freddy feel that'll have you squirming in your seat as you wonder where all the animatronic creatures have gone and where they'll show up next. It's definitely worth grabbing, especially for free.
