Fortnite: Battle Royale's next new limited time mode, High Explosives, is going live tonight.

The new mode will feature the same 100-player gameplay, but with a catch—the only weapons that will be available are explosives. Rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and grenades will be the only options on the battlefield.

When High Explosives goes live at 7pm CT, the beloved 50 vs. 50 mode will be gone. But Epic Games has shown that it is willing to bring back limited time events, as that mode was available two separate times during the month of December.

It's pretty exciting to think about the prospects of the High Explosives mode, as anyone who's played Fortnite: Battle Royale knows that bombs are highly important towards the end of the game when teams or players begin building forts.

It's entirely possible that the meta for High Explosives will be completely different, as everyone will have access to fort-destroying weapons and ammunition which is usually somewhat hard to come by.

Everyone can get their chance to blow up their friends and enemies soon enough as the event is just a few hours away, tonight at 7pm CT. The event is short-lived, though, as it will end swiftly on Jan. 2.
