Watch DreamHack Winter to receive Cho'Gall in Heroes of the Storm
An individual hero controlled by two players, Cho'Gall, has captured the imaginations of Heroes players everywhere, and his distribution model is just as unique as his design.
Rather than being available to buy with in game gold or real money, like most other heroes, Cho'Gall was given free to players who attended Blizzcon, bought a virtual ticket to the event, or were part of a small random group. Players who didn't receive the hero straight away could do so by winning two games by playing Cho'Gall with someone who did.
As the affectionately named "Cho'Gall virus" spreads through the game, a new method of delivery has been announced. Players who link their Twitch account to their Battle.net account and tune in for the DreamHack Winter Heroes of the Storm event this weekend on Nov. 26-29 will receive the hero too.
As the virus continues to spread, Cho'Gall made its first inroads into competitive play this week. In an Enter the Storm qualifier match, the revamped 2Arc roster picked Cho'Gall in their win over Stellar Lotus. The strength of the two-headed hero in the latter stages of a game was on full display, racking up over 44,000 hero damage in the first eleven minutes of the game.
Though other teams have stayed away from it so far, the hero could well be far more than just a gimmick in the competitive scene.
