There was never really any doubt about who would win when Korea faced Europe on Thursday in League's All-Star event. Korea was supposed to dominate, and they did.

Europe made it a game with a fantastic outplay by top laner Paul "sOAZ" Boyer. Europe's only hope was that he could hold on long enough against Lee "CuVee" Seong-jin's Jayce that their carries could get fed. Meanwhile, Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun took Blitzcrank, the type of engage support champion that caused LCK players fits at Worlds.

The LCK All-Stars responded with a pesky Tahm Kench pick from support Kang "GorillA" Beom-hyeon. GorillA made sure that the Europeans had absolutely no fun at all, and the only carries getting fed were those on the side of the LCK. Playing for the first time as teammates, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and Kang "Ambition" Chan-yong seemed totally comfortable. Ambition even gave Faker the first blue buff.

Ambition and Faker have a somewhat complicated history—Faker's rise coincided with Ambition's decline as a mid laner, and most recently, Ambition handed Faker his only series loss at Worlds. But winning solves all problems, and the two had no problem combining for the victory at All-Stars.

All-Stars is meant to be a fun event that showcases League's top talents. But apparently for the LCK players, the only fun they have is in wiping their enemies off the map.
