Top Neutral Cards to Craft! The Best Way To Spend Your Dust!
So you have a nice pile of arcane dust collected, whether it's from battling in the Arena or disenchanting extra cards. And now you want to dip your toes into the world of Hearthstone: Constructed Play Mode. So now the biggest question is: What to craft?
It doesn't help the meta are constantly shifting, you are paralyzed by the fear of crafting a card that may not be useful in the near future. Or you may decide to play another class. This quick guide is to point out cards that have the highest chance of remaining potent and are a safe way to spend your dust on!
It does bear in mind that if you open new packs quite often, it's usually a good idea to save your dust for Legendaries. Common and Rares you have a good chance of getting them from packs while Neutral Epics are too niche/deck specific to spend dust on.
Gaining tempo early game is important and nothing helps you better than Harvest Golem. Think of it as a mini-Cairne. The Deathrattle effect forces your opponents to play around it or spend 2 actions to deal with it. Don't ever worry about regretting spending your arcane dust on this guy.
This lil lizard's passive ability makes it more durable that most 2 drops. It's also important to remember that's it's not immune to Battlecry effects such as the lady below - Shattered Sun Cleric. If Faerie Dragon is the first creature to land on the board, you'll be ahead in early game most of the time.
Solid stats. His ability to buff a minion with +2 attack allows low mana cost minions to take out bigger minions, making it a value trade.
Everyone loves this card cause it's so good. Everyone hates this card cause it's basically mandatory in almost all decks. His charge make him basically a spell while providing presence on the board and swinging tempo your way. No brainer.
Another card that easily swings tempo and create card advantages and value. Providing solid stats for the cost, opportunity for 2-for-1 trades and taunt? Just like the Commander above, this is an excellent card to craft. But bear in mind, unlike the Commander, this card will need to have minions on the board to receive the insane buffs!
While he may seem not much at first glance, he provides an almost guaranteed value by drawing a card and your opponent will most likely need to use 1 to answer the drake.
The iconic raid boss is now available in card format! And he's just as badass as his World of Warcraft counterpart. While his ability may seem RNG-dependent, his effect kicks in the turn his cast. Unlike Ysera - while you may get a card right away, you don't get to cast it the next turn, and if it's a creature, you have to wait yet another turn. At 8 damage per shot, he can basically kill any minion out right. The only draw back is he is slow and only appears in late game.
Sylvanas is a great card in almost any deck but she requires a bit of thinking and good context to play her. Her 5 life makes her quite beefy. Playing Sylvanas forces your opponent to play around her, usually a slow down in tempo or spending 2 cards to get rid of her.
This lil guy is Loot Hoarder and Kobold Geomancer rolled into one. While he may not have as big of an impact as say Ragnoros, he fits nicely into any deck that utilizes spell damage. Though he may not fit into as much decks as Sylvanas or Ragnoros.
Crafting any of the cards above will not be a waste. But which ones from the list to craft will depend on your play style and class. Choose wisely!
