Following a couple of request from this awesome community, I am here to deliver you guys a list of awesome budget decks for you guys to play this week 😀
Hearthstone can, sometimes, be problematic for newcomers, it is very hard knowing where to go whenever you want to go competitive, and some people just don’t want to spend the money on the game right after they have started playing it.
So, in case you are one of these players: new to the game, not much dust, but the urge to go competitive, this article is for you!
Link this to your friends, let everyone know that Hearthstone can be played at its maximum without that much dust, even now that the game has existed for so long with so many expansions and cards being added to it.
Dr. Boom explanation
Before we start with the list of awesome budget decks to play, I would like to let everyone know that dr-boom is something that I will be adding to every single deck. So in case you don’t have one, the Doctor should be the first Legendary card that you should craft, because it is playable in a great variety of decks, and even in the decks it is not played it can be, so craft your Dr. Boom right away!
Take note that Dr. Boom isn’t needed in any of these builds, but all of them get stronger with the Doctor’s addition 😛
Mechs are the definition of Budget: you don’t need any Adventure Mode to have a complete deck, and they are generally very cheap dust-wise.
Mage is simply the class that can take the greatest advantage of the Mech tribe. This build has been piloted to top 50 Legend by Reddit user BigPapaTyrannax, it is pretty user friendly and happens to have favorable matchups against most of the best decks in the metagame right now.
In case you would like to know more about the deck and how to play it, Tyrannax was gentle enough to write a small guide about it on Reddit :3
Budget replacements in case you don’t have fel-reavers and/or dr-boom, in order of importance:
- 2x clockwork-knight.
- 1x tinkertown-technician.
This time we have a very different and exotic build: Hunter Control! Maybe you can call this a Midrange version, but I like the “Control” term a lot more 😀
To get this complete List you’ll need to get the first wing of Naxxramas, but you’ll need a lot less dust than you did with the Mech Mage build, for the record, so you’re still fine 😀
This build is a lot different than standard Midrange Builds, and wants nothing to do with mad-scientist. Instead, this build focus a lot more on Dominating the board.
As for budget replacements:
- don’t have Dr. Boom? Go for a second copy of eaglehorn-bow instead!
- About snake-trap? Well, bear-trap fits you just fine!
A couple of Weeks ago we featured a Mech Warrior deck in one of our “Decks to Play” articles, and I thought it would be nice to bring that deck back right now to this particular article.
In case you want to play a Mech based deck, and doesn’t want to play the Mage Class at all, Mech Warrior is the next best thing!
Since there isn’t a guide for this deck, i’ll try to talk a little about it.
Mech Warrior is a traditional Weenie deck that focus on Generating Tempo through attrition, taking Control of the Board and winning it by making favorable trades and dealing Face damage with the extra damage you get. The deck can also easily function as a “Face” deck, dealing all damage directly to the Opponent’s face if need be – It is up to the Deck’s Pilot to be able to judge if he/she should go for the Rush or for the Board. In general, you’ll want to go Face against Aggro decks such as Secret Paladin (since these decks have Secrets that take advantage of opponents trading, feel free to trade if they don’t have secrets up) as well as Control decks, and you’ll want to go for the Board against anything Midrange as well as anything that doesn’t have Secrets up.
This deck is slightly easier to pilot than the Mech Mage.
Budget replacements in case you don’t have fel-reavers and/or dr-boom are the same as the Mech Mage ones:
- 2x clockwork-knight.
- 1x tinkertown-technician.
Oil Rogue is a pretty cheap deck when compared to most other decks, that also doesn’t use any adventure card to function.
The trick about crafting this deck is that is uses 2 Epic cards: A pair of preparations. But since it has a lot of Basic class cards, we can just go ahead and add it to the Budget category.
Oil Rogue is a very hard deck to play, and I can only recommend this deck for you in case you really want something hard. However, fear not! Because in case you do, there are a lot of Oil Rogue guides around this Website, feel free to pick one of your choice in our Oil Rogue section:
In case you don’t have dr-boom, go with a copy of assassins-blade!
Hearthstone is an awesome game! And if you are new to it, make sure you craft and test some of these powerful deck lists! 😀
I hope you guys enjoyed this article as much as I enjoyed researching as well as writing it, it has been quite some time since I went looking for Budget lists, but since it was requested by you, I couldn’t help but do my best to find them!
In case you want my opinion on which deck to make, I would go with the Mech Mage one, because it is the strongest and most well positioned deck amongst the ones I posted!
In case you don’t know yet, Hearthstoneplayers is the website with the biggest and the best Hearthstone content in the Internet, full of reliable guides that you can read and follow in order to make your Hearthstone experience much better!
