Every buff and nerf in May 1 Overwatch Stadium patch

In this May 1 update, Blizzard is adjusting some outlier powers and items in Overwatch while adjusting a few broken ones. They are refining the game’s balance by adjusting Cash gains from damage and healing while planning future improvements for underperforming powers and items to enhance their viability.

Here is a list of heroes, according to their roles, who are getting buffs and nerfs in Overwatch 2:

Tanks

Reinhardt has been growing in popularity in Stadium among tanks due to his strong performances, so he’s getting a slight nerf to keep him in check. A few items and powers unique to heroes are getting a small shake-up to keep things interesting.

D.Va

D.Va has been strong in Stadium because she can use the Nano Cola™ Nitrous and Busan Blaster to get her mech instantly. Now, she should be a bit more susceptible to burst damage.

Nano Cola™ Nitrous: Epic survival Hero item

  • Health decreased from 50 to 25.
  • Reduced Max Life decreased from 25 to five percent.
  • Nano Boost duration decreased from eight to four seconds.

Busan Blaster: Epic ability Hero item

  • It no longer generates Ultimate Charge.

Orisa

Orisa could feel nearly invincible in certain setups, with Restorify providing too much healing when combined with her kit, so the developer is changing it. Solar Regenergy is also being adjusted to better match the efficiency of other similarly priced items.

Restortify: powers

  • Max Life healing every one second has been decreased from 10 percent to five percent.

Solar Regenergy: Rare survival Hero item

  • Reduced Armor Restoration has been decreased from five to three percent of Max Life.

Reinhardt

Reinhardt is overperforming and earning way too much cash, so the developer is slightly nerfing his income.

  • The amount of Stadium Cash gained from damage and healing has been decreased by 13.64 percent.

Zarya

The Lifelift power has been a must-have power in all Zarya builds. The developer is nerfing it to make it a slightly more situational pick while buffing another power.

Lifelift: Power

  • Particle Barrier health scaling has been decreased from 100 to 50 percent of your bonus Max Life.

Here to Spot You: power

  • Healing has been increased from 15 to 20 percent of your Max Life over three seconds.

Damage

Soldier: 76 with his Rocket Visor has been everywhere in the Stadium, and the developer is finally ending his shenanigans. Meanwhile, Mei and Reaper are getting small nerfs to their overall kit to bring them on the same level as other heroes.

Mei

One of Mei’s most picked powers is getting a nerf while buffing it as well to make it less consistent.

Coulder: power

  • The knockback frequency rate is reduced by 60 percent.
  • Enemies are knocked back further than before.
  • The damage dealt per knockback has been increased from 10 to 20.

Reaper

Reaper has been overperforming and earning too much cash despite his short range, so the developer is reverting a buff, which allowed him to earn more.

  • The amount of Stadium Cash gained from damage and healing is decreased by 10 percent.

Soldier: 76

Soldier: 76 has been earning too much Stadium Cash through damage and healing, enabling him to snowball too easily, so it’s getting rebalanced. Rocket Visor has been a hit with players, but it’s also overperforming. Blizzard is tuning it down slightly while keeping its accessibility intact and monitoring its impact moving forward.

  • The amount of Stadium Cash gained from damage and healing is decreased by 12.5 percent.

Rocket Visor: power

  • Duration reduced to 0.5 seconds from 0.75 seconds.

Biotic Bullseye: power

  • Ammo restoration has been increased to 10 from 5 percent per critical hit.

While Kiriko is getting a small nerf, Juno and Lúcio mains are having some shakeup to some of their hero items while also giving them small buffs, which should compensate for the changes.

Kiriko

Kiriko has been earning a bit more cash than others so it’s getting a nerf.

  • The amount of Stadium Cash gained from damage and healing has been decreased by 16.67 percent.

Juno

Juno’s popularity in Stadium has soared, but Blizzard is targeting the most oppressive elements of her builds while boosting her early-game Cash gain to support underperforming loadouts. Solar Shielding and other abilities are being adjusted to better align with its cost-to-power ratio.

  • The amount of Stadium Cash gained from damage and healing has been increased by 33.33 percent.

Cosmic Coolant: power

  • Cooldown per target hit reduced to 0.5 from one second.

PulStar Destroyers: Epic ability Hero power

  • 15 percent of Ability Power has been removed.
  • 10 percent Ability Lifesteal has been added.

Solar Shielding: Epic ability Hero power

  • Ability Power has been increased from 25 to 15 percent.

Lúcio

Lúcio is getting a small cash gain increase to bring him in line with other heroes. Blizzard is tuning down the burst potential of Amp It Up and Crowd Pleaser, softening Megaphone’s consistency, and improving underused options like Signature Shift and B-Side Bop to support a wider range of viable builds.

  • The amount of Stadium Cash gained from damage and healing has been increased by 10 percent.

Crowd Pleaser: power

  • Healing has been reduced to 150 from 200 percent of the Crossfade healing.

Megaphone: power

  • Amp It Up duration has been decreased from 20 to 15 percent.

Signature Shift: power

  • Increased Projectile Size increased to 80 from 20 percent.

B-Side Bop: Epic weapon Hero item

  • Health increased to 50 from 25.
