She is an exceptional healer in Overwatch 2, and you need to pick the right powers/items to amplify her effect further in the Stadium to dominate your matches. Mercy’s ability to resurrect allies, along with healing and damage amplification, could work wonders for the team. So if you’re looking for a guide to help you get the best combination for Mercy, we’ve got you covered.

Mercy’s strength lies in staying in the shadows and being the constant stream of support through heals and damage buffs for her team. To do that, you need to invest most of your money and powers in increasing the healing power of the Caduceus Staff. As your main goal is to heal and survive, you should also spend your money on ability and survival items to get stronger as you progress.

You’d also need to bank on your allies to take care of the backline threats like the Reaper or other characters trying to eliminate you by pulling a flank. You can also use your Guardian Angel to move quickly to an ally to avoid falling prey to a threat in your matches.

Powers

You can select up to four powers in your Stadium matches, and you pick them up for free on odd rounds like one, three, five, and seven. Here is a table that breaks down the four powers you should select while playing Mercy in Stadium:

PowerDescription
Distortion
Allies boosted by the Caduceus Staff gain 20 percent lifesteal, allowing them to heal themselves by dealing damage to the enemies.
Triage Unit
When you use Guardian Angel on allies who are below 50 percent health, your Caduceus Staff heals them 30 percent more for three seconds.
First Responder
When you resurrect an ally, you both gain 250 overhealth for six seconds.
Glass Extra Full
Healing from Caduceus Staff targeting full health allies is converted to overhealth, up to 50.

Distortion is particularly useful for DPS characters who are trying to sustain through the damage against an enemy tank. The Triage Unit is another power, which is fantastic for saving low health enemies in a heated fight, as it allows you to fly over to them and heal them quickly to turn the tables.

Another power, called the First Responder, solves Mercy’s key weakness—she’s a sitting duck while resurrecting an ally. Even when she completes the resurrection, the healer dies, so this power helps you get more health to survive those tricky situations better. Lastly, if your team is struggling to win a simple match, you can opt for the Glass Extra Full, which provides your team with an extra health cushion to stay alive and healthy in team fights.

Items

Once you have selected your power, items are where you’d need to spend your hard-earned in-game currency to purchase powerful buffs from the Armory at the start of each round. These items range from green to blue and purple rarity, with the latter being the most expensive.

Based on your performance in the matches, you earn credits, so if your team plays well, you can get high rarity items sooner than the opponent team. We’ve arranged them equally for your build, which has two cheap green ones, two blue ones, and two non-negotiable purple ones. They make you a powerful healer and a great support for the team at an economical price. Here are the six items that you can choose in your matches to get better results:

Item Description
Winning Attitude
25 more health. When you die, you also gain 15 percent ultimate charge.
Heartbeat Sensor
Five percent movement speed. Enemies below 30 percent health are revealed to you.
Long Distance Wings
10 percent ability power and 33 percent Guardian Angle range.
Multi-Tool
10 percent cooldown reduction and five percent ability power.
Resurrection Rangefinder
10 percent cooldown reduction, 75 percent resurrection range.
Caduceus Ex
10 percent weapon power, 33 percent increased Caduceus Staff range.

Being a flying support with weak gunpowder, dying is inevitable, but with an early Winning Attitude item, you can get a small buff on your health while also getting 15 percent ultimate charge per death, which helps you to get your ultimate faster. Many low health DPS players love to take out Mercy before they die, but with Heartbeat Sensor, you move a bit faster and also see enemies near you who are below 30 percent health to avoid them and ping them to your DPS to finish them off. You can also pull out your blasters to take care of them.

Long Distance Wings has a direct synergy with the Triage Unit power, and it helps you travel further and get away from danger. Multi-Tool is good at giving you cooldown reduction, and if you combine it with the Caduceus Ex, you also get increased staff range to heal your allies and a bit of weapon power to shoot the enemies. Resurrection Rangefinder also adds a bit more cooldown reduction and significantly increases your resurrection range to safely raise your allies back into the action to win more matches.
