Best Cassidy build in Overwatch 2 Stadium

Cassidy has several builds you can try, from Flashbang spamming to maxing out your Deadeye. Those might be fun, but most of Cassidy’s damage comes from the Peacekeeper and requires a bit of sharpshooting as opposed to someone like Soldier: 76.
This build maximizes Peacekeeper’s damage potential for any scenario with the Full House power. Full House increases the Peacekeeper’s damage based on the ammo available. Max out your mag for a permanent damage increase for primary fire or fan-fire enemies back to hell.
Powers
A new power is available on the first, third, fifth, and seventh rounds, drastically changing your playstyle and damage potential. Most of the time, you won’t have more than three, so here’s a list of powers for Cassidy in order of priority:
Power | Description |
---|---|
![]() Full House | For each ammo available, increases Peacekeeper’s primary fire damage by one percent, stacking up to 25 percent. |
![]() Bullseye | Critical hit reduces Combat Roll’s cooldown by two seconds. |
![]() Dead Man Walking | Eliminating an enemy you’ve recently critically hit grants one Max Ammo for the round. |
![]() Hot Potato | Flashbang hit adds three extra Ammo until Peacekeeper is reloaded. |
Full House is the core power to maximize Peacekeeper’s primary fire damage based on how much ammo you have. This, paired with the rest of the powers and items, grants a consistent damage increase in your gunfights.
Oftentimes, you’ll have to fight up close and fan the hammer. Bullseye reduces Combat Roll’s cooldown by two seconds, allowing you to quickly reload and use the secondary fire. This also works extremely well with the Quickload Chamber item.
Dead Man Walking requires a bit more sharpshooting, as it grants one Max Ammo for the round when you eliminate an enemy you’ve recently critically hit. While it says “recently critically hit,” you must defeat an enemy with a headshot for the power to trigger. If you’re confident in your aim, you can pick it up second and then Bullseye third.
The last power is more situational. Hot Potato adds three extra ammo when you hit an enemy with a Flashbang—perfect to start the gunfight, but you can also go for Just Roll With It to get more survivability late in the game.
Items
Full House and Dead Man Walking only do a part of the job to maximize the Peacekeeper’s damage. The rest is up to the items you buy in between rounds.
Here are the endgame items to aim for on Cassidy:
Item | Stats | Effect |
---|---|---|
![]() Quickload Chamber | +20 percent Reload Speed | Reloading within six meters of an enemy adds 20 percent of Max Ammo as extra ammo. |
![]() Eye of the Spider | +25 percent Weapon Power | Deal 10 percent increased damage to targets below 30 percent Life. |
![]() The Closer | +20 percent Weapon Power +10 percent Critical Damage | Critical Hits reveal the target for three seconds. |
![]() Commander’s Clip | +10 percent Attack Speed +40 percent Max Ammo | Using an ability restores 10 percent of Max Ammo. |
![]() Stockpile | +5 percent Attack Speed +25 percent Max Ammo | N/A |
![]() Ammo Reserves | +20 percent Max Ammo | N/A |
Quickload Chamber is Cassidy’s signature item, which overflows your mag when reloading next to an enemy. The best part is that it synergizes with the Combat Roll, allowing you to roll between enemies and spam them with the Peacekeeper’s primary or secondary fire.
You also want all three items that increase your Max Ammo to get as much damage out of Full House as possible. The rest you can build into Weapon Power, with items like Eye of the Spider, El-Sa’Ka Suppressor, and The Closer. You can also pick up Competitive Analysis if you mainly use Peacekeeper’s primary fire.
Start with Ammo reserves and items that increase Weapon Power in the early game.
