Blizzard has been working on fixes for Overwatch’s Doomfist—and according to Overwatch lead engineer Bill Warnecke, it shouldn’t be too long before the adjustments make it to the live server.
“The Doomfist fixes are part of the 1.18 patch,” Warnecke wrote on the Overwatch forum. “1.18 is still making its way through our PTR phase so we don’t have an exact date for live, but it shouldn’t be too long to wait.”

With the Doomfist changes, new Overwatch map Blizzard World is also part of Patch 1.18.
Doomfist’s changes include improved wall-slamming, Rocket Punch, and Seismic Slam. Plenty more Doomfist bugs are currently being worked on as well, Overwatch principal designer Geoff Goodman said. Likewise, other bugs are currently being investigated by the Blizzard team.
“We also have heard your feedback that you’d like to see more details about bug fixes in our patch notes, instead of just tuning changes and features,” Goodman said. “We’re going to work on this, so starting next patch there will be more detailed information on this kind of stuff. Thanks for all the feedback and keep it coming, especially if you get a chance to play on the PTR and test out these changes.”
