As reported earlier in the week, Unicorns of Love will be the European League Championship Series representative heading to the Intel Extreme Master series in Oakland for the League of Legends section of the event. This follows a string of teams, such as Team SoloMid and Splyce, dropping out of the event due to roster changes and the need to recover from a hectic calendar season.
The Unicorns appear to be the first team to have an entire starting roster that is the same as their roster in the Summer Split, following their Regional Finals loss to Splyce for the 3rd EU LCS seed at Worlds 2016. Whether or not that roster will remain for the Spring Split is yet to be confirmed, but it is good to see the team sticking together for the time being.
The roster representing UoL at IEM Oakland is as follows:
- Top – Tamás “Vizicsacsi” Kiss
- Jungle – Kang “Move” Min-su
- Mid – Fabian “Exileh” Schubert
- ADC – Kim “Veritas” Kyoung-min
- Support – Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov
How do you think the Unicorns will do at IEM Oakland? Will you still be watching the event even as teams like TSM and Splyce drop out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below or tweet us @GAMURScom.
