Three-time Valve Major champions OG will once again be fighting at the grand finals in one of Dota 2’s biggest LAN events, after working their way past China’s two top teams.

The final series of the upper bracket, which pitted OG against Invictus Gaming, consisted of nearly two-and-a-half hours of game time, with two of the three games almost reaching the one-hour-mark. But despite the marathon-length of the series, OG were in complete control for the majority of the final game, where OG carry Johan “n0tail” Sundstein put on a world-class performance on Naga Siren. Constantly setting up teamfights and engagements, OG slowly but surely starved Invictus Gaming out of the game, and the Chinese side tapped out at 53 minutes.

While the victory against Invictus Gaming is impressive in its own right, OG also defeated the current top-rated team from China, Newbee, on the first day of playoff games. That means the Europeans will already have defeated their eventual grand final opponents.

Both Newbee and Invictus will now be fighting for a spot in the final. And though Invictus started their playoff run in the upper bracket, Newbee has worked their way through Evil Geniuses and Invictus Gaming Vitality in the lower bracket—setting the stage for what should be a massive showdown between China’s two top teams in the lower bracket finals.

The confrontation between Newbee and Invictus Gaming will be kicking off the final day of the Dota 2 Asia Championship on April 4 at 10:00am CST.
