Stream.me, which already has leagues in games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Hearthstone, is now venturing into the ever-growing world of Overwatch. The Overwatch community is growing at an alarming rate and Stream.me has decided to take advantage of this and start a league of its own.
The company will be throwing the first cup from Sept. 19-23 with open registration. The cup will feature 16 teams split into four groups of four teams. The top team from each group will advance to a playoff bracket, which then will be played out to determine the winner.
A few teams have already signed up, some of which are:
- Bikini Beach
- Tornado ROX
- Ninjas with Attitude
- Team LDLCÂ
Â
The matches will begin daily at 17:00 CEST/10 am PDT and will be streamed HERE on the Stream.me website. With only four teams signed up so far, who knows who else will sign up for this opportunity. The prize pool is $2,000, which isn’t too much, but it will be great practice for teams trying to improve.
