Stratton Sclavos, a former co-owner of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks, has invested in Echo Fox, a North American esports organization owned by film and television actor, businessman and former NBA player Rick Fox, according to ESPN’s Jacob Wolf.
This news should bring in exciting prospects, as the organization already began branching into fighting games, such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros., with its newfound investment. Echo Fox also has a Call of Duty team, led by Jeremy “Neslo” Olsen, and a League of Legends team that is currently 2-2 in the 2017 spring split of the North American League Championship Series. Additionally, Echo Fox has featured teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, H1Z1 and Gears of War 4.
Scalvos’s past experience in business will be an extremely valuable asset to Echo Fox as the organization continues to grow.
