LCK League of Legends team ESC Ever announced its new sponsor, Genesis BBQ Chicken, earlier today at a press conference hosted by the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA). As part of this new sponsorship deal, ESC Ever has changed its brand name to “BBQ Olivers,” and has a new team logo to match. The second part of the team’s new name, “Oliver” is derived from the 100% virgin olive oil used in the frying oil for their sponsor’s BBQ chicken.
This is a momentous occasion for ESC Ever, as this will be the team’s first big sponsorship since entering the LCK back in April 2016. BBQ Olivers’ head coach Kim Ga-ram was ecstatic about the new sponsorship, expressing his gratitude to his team’s new sponsors for providing a better environment for the team’s players.
You can see the BBQ Olivers play in OGN’s LCK, which is slated to start on Jan. 17.
