The best Move decks in Marvel Snap

Confuse your opponents with sick movement skills.

Marvel Snap features a few archetypes that are common in other online card games, but its unique mechanics also allow for equally unique playstyles, like Move decks.

These decks are built around making your cards move between different locations using different card abilities to strengthen their Power and win Marvel Snap matches. A playstyle as unique as movement can be tricky at first, but once you overcome its learning curve, it’s rewarding to win games by giving your opponents a hard time predicting your moves.

Here are the best Move decks to use in Marvel Snap for November 2023.

Best Move decks in Marvel Snap (November 2023)

Replacing missing cards with useful ones in the ever-shifting meta can increase your chances of winning games. Some of the best cards to add are Enchantress, Sera, and Aero, which are solid general options.

Welcome to Marvel Snap, Ghost-Spider. Gwen Stacy arrived in June 2023 and reinvigorated the Move meta as the first new card in the archetype in quite some time. It only got better when Spider-Man 2099 and Silk were added soon after.

This all-encompassing Move deck lets Gwen shine through multiple different avenues. We like to use her to buff up any number of cards, like Dagger, Kraven, Multiple Man, or Vulture. On top of this, playing Gwen makes her buddy Miles cost only one Energy.

Move Legion

Let’s have some fun with Spider-Man and try to give Kraven some big buffs. Kraven can also be buffed by Nightcrawler, Vision, or Jeff, and Captain Marvel will help win games if she moves to his location, too.

You can use Legion here to completely change the game by locking up locations or playing into locations that benefit Move cards.

The Usual Suspects

The most basic move deck in Marvel Snap includes cards that synergize with each other while also running destructive cards like Spider-Man 2099 and Shang-Chi to defend yourself from high-Powered units.

I like to use Iron Fist on Dagger or Vulture to buff up their power, then use Doctor Strange to move them again and buff them once more, finishing off with Heimdall on turn six for the biggest boost available.

I also suggest combining Cloak and Kraven by playing Kraven on turn two, then following up with Cloak to move cards to his location and increase your Power across the board.

Phoenix Force

The July 2023 season pass card Phoenix Force is quite fun to use in a movement deck. The aim here is to destroy a card like Human Torch or Multiple Man, then bring it back to life with Phoenix Force’s added power and ability to move each turn.

If you play Multiple Man on two, Hulkbuster or Multiple Man on three, and destroy it on four, you can then play Phoenix Force to spread 13-Power Multiple Men all across the board, and use Heimdall to spread them even further.

Multiply your chances

This deck focuses a lot on Multiple Man, who I like to buff with Forge and Hulk-Buster. This gives him more power before you multiply him across the board when you move him. Each copy he leaves in his wake will get his Power bonuses, too.

The rest of the deck functions like the Phoenix Force one above, but with some extra power from Human Torch and Silk’s movable ability to surprise the opponent with unexpected Power boosts to your locations.

Move and protect

Another similar move deck, this one includes Miles Morales, a one-Energy, five-Power card that you should play the turn after you move somebody. With Juggernaut and Magneto, you’ll be able to move your opponent’s cards as well as your own.

I really enjoy playing Kingpin and then supplementing him with Magneto to completely sabotage the opponent’s board on turn six if the normal Heimdall plan isn’t working out for me.

Movement card combos in Marvel Snap

Movement typically begins on turn two, when Kraven is the most ideal play on the middle location. Silk is also a good option. By turn three, the best play is either Iron Fist then Human Torch on the right or middle location (for the Kraven stack), Human Torch on the right and Ghost-Spider on the middle, or Vulture on the right.

By turn four, you can play Doctor Strange on either the third location to get Human Torch or the middle to get Vulture. You can also play Miles Morales alongside him if you moved a card last turn or just a plain Spider-Man 2099 on a location where you can target a card on your opponent’s side to destroy.

Turn five could be a Cloak and Wave combo, especially if your opponent is using a deck that relies on multiple plays in the final turn (like Sera Control, Sera Surfer, and Bounce). Then, you can end the game with either Heimdall, America Chavez or Aero for a final movement push.

How to counter movement decks in Marvel Snap

Most of these movement decks need space on the board to move their cards around and time to set up their combos. These are two major weaknesses that certain cards can exploit.

Any card that interacts with the opposing board is a potential threat to a movement deck. Green Goblin, Hobgoblin, and Debrii all fill up the enemy side of the board, interfering with card movement.

Worse, though, is Professor X, who can completely shut down a location; no cards can be added or removed from the location where Professor X is active. The best target is always the middle location, as it will completely stop any movement caused by Heimdall and cards like Iron Fist.
